Kami kebetulan baru je hantar kereta pi saloon. Malas la nak mengotorkan kereta balik...Almaklum la tengah suci murni nih!! :)). At last cik hubby pun kata yes je laaa....then kami balik rumah sat untuk ambik apa yang patut.

"Ad-Dir'iyyah was the residence and first home of the the Al-Saud royal family and the capital of the first Saudi State(1157 -1233H / 1744-1818G). Situated on the edges of Wadi Hanifa it is an oasis town with large areas of palm trees, gardens, estates and farms (mazraa). At this historical site one may see the model of the Najdi Architecture consisting of significant archaelogical buildings, palaces and mosques like the Salwa Palace, the residence and home of the Al-Saud Amirs, Saad bin Saud Palace, Nasser bin Saud Palace, Imam Mohammed bin Saud Mosque, Saad Mosque, The Guest House and Turaif Bath House. Mud brick and limestone blocks were used as the main materials to construct the buildings. Large walls and short observation towers with posts that are of cylindrical form that surround the quarter were used as surveillance and defence of the city then. The buildings were abandoned after the destruction of Ad Dir'iyyah as a result of the battles between the Saudi forces and the Ottoman army led by Ibrahim Pasha in 1233H/1818G. After the departure of the Ottomans in 1824, Turki bin Abdullah bin Saud founded the Second Islamic State in Riyadh until 1891 before the Al-Rasheed tribe captured Riyadh and the Saud were believed to flee to Kuwait. In 1902 AbdulAziz bin Abdurahman Al- Saud succeeded in recapturing Riyadh from the Al-Rasheed again. By Dina... :))
